Casa Travella was founded in 1987 by Linda & Pietro Travella to make buying property in Italy easier and more accessible. It was one of the first companies to offer a full after sales service to its clients. The company is run by Linda Travella. Linda speaks and teaches Italian and has been involved in the Italian way of life for over 25 years.

Linda spent 4 years as chairman of The Federation of Overseas Property Developers, Agents and Consultants from 2000 to 2004 ( FOPDAC) and spent many years on the committee and as vice chairman. She was the first woman to be elected as chairman since the Federation began in 1973.

Linda is a member of the international Committee of the National Association of Estate Agents

In January 2001 Linda was interviewed live on BBC Breakfast News as a leading expert on buying property abroad In 2003/4 Linda appeared in various editions of the popular ITV programme ‘I Want that House’ and has appeared in a number of editions of "Ask the Property Expert" on the Overseas Property Channel ( Sky 287 ) and was pleased to be filmed for the programme "Selling Houses Abroad" with Andrew Winter for Channel 4.
Linda has written articles for the magazine ‘Italy’ on various subjects and often gives expert advice to clients for the magazines ‘Italian and ‘Italia’

It is important to take all aspects into consideration, and that is where the help of a professional company can be invaluable. A great deal of new companies have been set up recently and of course many of them are very good. We would however, advise you to check the company out and don’t assume that if they have a professional web site it is a professional company. The most important point is that the company you are dealing with has knowledge of the country, the areas and can hopefully speak the language.
